Here is a bunch of cheats that will help you in the game if you are struggling. To activate them press the ‘~’ (tilde) key during gameplay to display the console window and then type the code without the quotes and press ‘Enter’ to enable the desired effect.
Unlock God Mode:

During game play hit the tilde key ‘~’ to bring up the console to enter the following codes. There are multiple commands, some that require targeting by selecting an object with the mouse while the console is open.

Fix National Teams
Due to the licensing restrictions on the game not all the national teams have legitimate players. This can be easily corrected by removing the file that creates a ‘mask’ on the effected teams. To get rid of the ‘mask’ go to ‘C:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/data/db/800/lnc/all’ and remove the file ‘fake’ inc [...]

Unlock 2 Followers:
Reach 25% hoods conquered.
Unlock 3 Followers:
Reach 50% hoods conquered.
Unlock Tobias:

Unlock Pierce:
Complete Brotherhood - Mission 11.
